Areas of Practice

NONIMMIGRANT VISAS

Individuals who apply for Nonimmigrant visas do not intend to stay in the United States permanently. Nonimmigrant visa holders have a specific purpose for a temporary stay limited to a period of time. The purpose can be tourism, business, or education.

NATURALIZATION & CITIZENSHIP

U.S. Citizenship can be acquired by any number of ways, including but not limited to, naturalization, being born in the U.S., obtaining citizenship immediately after birth, asylum and Green Card.

Naturalization is the process of becoming a U.S. citizen through legal means. By following the strict U.S. immigration guidelines and laws you and your family can gain U.S. citizenship.

VAWA

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) allows battered immigrants to petition for legal status in the United States without relying on abusive U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident spouses, parents or children to sponsor their Adjustment of Status applications.

FAMILY IMMIGRATION

A permanent U.S. visa is known as a Green Card. If family wants to immigrate to the U.S, then a Family Preference Immigrant Visa required. Immediate family members of a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Residents qualify for this type of visa. This includes spouses, children, parents, and siblings.

temporary protected status

The Secretary of Homeland Security may designate a foreign country for TPS due to conditions in the country that temporarily prevent the country's nationals from returning safely, or in certain circumstances, where the country is unable to handle the return of its nationals adequately. USCIS may grant TPS to eligible nationals of certain countries (or parts of countries), who are already in the United States. Eligible individuals without nationality who last resided in the designated country may also be granted TPS.

Ukrainian citizens who are present in the United States will not be considered for parole under Uniting for Ukraine. However, Ukrainian citizens present in the United States may be eligible for Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

EMPLOYMENT IMMIGRATION

At Urman Law Group, P.A. we understand that investing in a business—especially when tied to an immigration visa application—can be a difficult, stressful and time-consuming process. humanitarian parole and uniting for UKRAINE

Parole allows an individual who may be inadmissible or otherwise ineligible for admission into the United States to be in the United States for a temporary period for urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit.

Uniting for Ukraine provides a pathway for Ukrainian citizens and their immediate family members who are outside the United States to come to the United States and stay temporarily in a 2 year period of parole.
