Galina D. Urman

Galina D. Urman is the founder of Urman Law Group, P.A., a boutique law firm focused on immigration law. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).

Galina helps individuals, families, and businesses with investor and business visas, employment-based immigration, family immigration, nonimmigrant visas, and naturalization, and represents clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Her commitment to immigrants comes from her own story. Born in the Soviet Union, Galina came to the United States as a refugee in 1992. She graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a B.A. in International Relations and a specialization in Political Economy, including a period of study at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. She then graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2011.

Galina began her legal career as an associate attorney at a Miami immigration law firm, where she focused on U.S. immigration and nationality law and gained experience in business law and investment-based immigration for foreign nationals. She founded Urman Law Group in 2014.

Many of Galina's clients are entrepreneurs, and beyond the visa itself she advises them on forming and running a business in Florida. She also knows South Florida from the ground up: she serves on the boards of a 389-unit condominium association and an 8,000-resident master community association, and she is a licensed real estate sales associate with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty.

Fluent in English and Russian, Galina represents immigrants and their families from around the world and works with Russian-speaking clients in their own language.
